How long did you wait b/t shots?
With most rifles that I seen, after about three back to back shots, they will start to stray and the barrel would be so hot that you couldn't hardly hold it. When I set my scope, I usually do it when I have a couple of hours to kill. I want every shot to be like the cold barrel shot that I will shoot at a deer. So I let my barrel cool down after each shot.
Some will argue with this, but it does make a difference in any rifle that I've seen.
One of my best friends has a COLT 7mm mag. After about five back to back shots you can literally spit on the barrel and watch it boil. To me this is just too much.
