Both of these cartridges are overkill for deer and pronghorns and not legal for dangerous game. Add in the other 30 cal magnums and the .270 weatherby and other 7MM mags along with the .338 mag, .340 mag and you have a 6 of one/half dozen of the other.

Certainly there's a difference on paper but that's where the differences end.

They're all poor excuses for not owning a good .30-06 or .280 Remington and getting real good with it.
