RE: WY Region G deer tag...Help!
I grew up in Kemmerer, Wyo. and still go back to hunt or tag along with family every year. I hit mostly the country south of the Greys that makes up the Commissary Ridge, etc. I can't give up specifics on spots on the family would kill me. There is alot of people, but they are VERY lazy. If you are willing to hunt hard and get back into the country, you will do fine. So many "tourist" 4x4's exist that score 140'ish, people just don't leave the roads, etc. When you get there and do you scouting look for big Muley country. High, steep, rocky, rotten ridges hold nice deer in that area. Look for those nasty pockets with a spring in them where he can bed/eat w/in 100 yds. It was a wet year, so these may not be as productive in the past. The Greys is notorious for producing big bucks and attracting people, but still, if you put in the time you should have some fun. Just remember to get into the heart of that country and away from the people and have fun!
