I don't disagree with hunting with crossbows at all. But the early start is not right. There will be all kinds of people trying to get permits for all exuses. Where will they draw the line.It was said above somewhere there are not many handicap people that would hunt. Give them a head start and see how many you get. They also said big bucks don't move much early, that won't matter because the ones that cheat the system to get a permit will be sitting above a big baitpile.
I know a old man that had a stroke and wanted to hunt off his 4-wheeler. DNR came to his house and talked with him. Due to the fact he could go to the kitchen with a walker and get a half cup of coffee they told him he could get far enough off the path to hunt.
