I see your point, and the abuse of that is the major problem. I still don't see how any specific group should have first crack at it anyway though. To me, everyone should be treated the same as far as season dates go. Sure, let the guy with a bad shoulder shoot a crossbow, but I don't see why he therefore gets a two week headstart on everyone else simply because he hurt his shoulder.
