Well Brad, what you need to understand first and foremost is that HuntingNet is a business. As with any business we're not here to play around all day and have fun - we're here to make money and we do that by selling advertising space on our website. Whether we sell that space to a high fence hunting preserve, a free ranging outfitter, or some guy selling arrows out of his basement is irrelevant.
Well see, thats where you and I differ Justin. I won't sell my core Hunting beliefs aways and I won'tcater to a Canned Hunting Outfit simply so I can reap another $1,000 a month in Sponsor fee's or whatever ya'll get paid. I browed MANY of the sponsorsof this site ......only one or two jump out as Canned Hunting places. You could full well make plenty of money in this business by saying " NO " to groups like that - and earn much more respect for it.
Despite your feelings, our feelings, or anyone else's feelings hunting within a confined area is legal and there are thousands of people who pay to do it every year. Open up virtutally any hunting magazine, flip to the back where the classifieds are and you'll see plenty of ads for high fenced operations. This is because, just like us, they are an advertising and informational medium. We don't view HuntingNet as a place to convey our personal beliefs and feelings about hunting, and therefore don't discriminate with who can and can not advertise with us.
Oh yes, you DO descriminate, Moderators will tell you (as do the rules of this site ) that its paid for by you and yours and ya'll can edit, delete and ban anyone you want to at anytime - and you have that right, no one would argue that point.
And so too do you have the power to take on the Sponsors you want, and those you don't. Its Choice Justin - and you choose to have a Canned Hunting Sponsor.
Before you try to argue with me on my last point - YES I do come on the board and give my personal opinion on issues at hand, but at the same time I also respect other people's opinions and let them speak their mind just as I am letting you do here.
I was banned before, I do not mind being banned again. I have no fear of that - but we can talk about all the Brad's Rules, all the FNG's, all the Hogguides and Stealthycats that have been banned in the past - and none of that will detract from my core point here
Hunting.Net endorses Canned Hunting. Ya'll condone it, accpet it ......... even have Sponsors that sell it on your site and yet, ironically, most people here HATE the concept, don't they ? Browse the Canned Hunting topics - its no secret Justin. The only secret ? That few people but me realize and know that places like Old Stone Fence are endorsed.
Its kinda like selling your Hunting soul IMO for a few extra bucks............ some people do it, some people don't
