First you need the correct head weight to the spine of the arrow and optimizing for an adequate FOC.

Usually tuning involves spin testing the arrows with broadhead connected to ensure there is no wobble to the broadhead. This makes certain the broadhead is in the same plane as the arrow shaft. If wobble exists, the broadhead can plane do to the blades steering the arrow, especially if there is not adequate fletch to tame it.

If wobble exists, usually the insert can be heated and spun to align the head to the shaft.
