Brad, I would go talk to a local farmer. He might give you a coffee can full for a couple bucks.
I, too, would wait until Memorial Day to plant. Our last EXPECTED frost date is May 15, but lots of times Ma Nature doesn't open her calender. I'm waiting for the first weekend in June to plant my beans.
