If you already have a 270, skip the 280. Only minor advantage comes with bullets over 150 grs.Go for the 300 Win Mag to avoid having too much overlap in cartridge and a 180/308 at 3100 is a good jump in energy from a 150/277 at 2900.The 280 is too close.But....if it'a a heck of deal grab it. You can probably trade it straight up for a good 300 Win/Wtby Mag someday.Some guys will walk over hot coals for a 280.A buddy of mine never misses a chance to remind of how much better his 280 is over my 270. I just smile,grab my 7 Rem Mag and put a 140 over the chrony at 3300+ and smile some more when his 280 clocks about 2950.Our 300 Win Mags both do 3100 with a 180,lotsa smiling there.
