Me and some friends went to the lease over Labor day weekend to do a little work and try and shoot a dove or two. We were sitting around camp Sunday evening relaxing after working all day on the property we hunt. I had just shot a dove and looked around for the empty shell casing when I saw this rascal. I shot the snake about 30 minutes before this picture was taken and about 3 hours later we decided to skin it and throw it on the grill and see what rattle snake taste like. When we went to skin it it was still moving around after we skinned, gutted and beheaded the thing my 15 year old son picked it up and laid it on a table to be seasoned and the thing actually recoiled and the end where the head once was rose up of the table like it was going to strike I got a video of it just in time, pretty freaky if you ask me. Anyways we threw him on the grill and had rattle snake appetizer. He measure 4 feet 2 inches long, not real big but enough to get my blood pumping when i first saw him.
