Hey guys we got points on the board.
I went out this morning with turkeys on the mind and shot a nice jake.
I had seen this bird a couple of times in the last few days while bow hunting and decided today was the day for turkeys. I got setup before daylight but did not know where it was roosting at for sure, ended up that he was only about 80 yards from me. I did not know it until he flew down. i adjusted my setup and made a call and he answered I made another call and he called back and two minutes later he was standing 25 yards and I shot him using a old 12 ga. that I had just bought a few weeks ago.
He had a 1 5/8" beard and 13.5 lbs just bumps for spurs.
Now it's back to trying to get a buck shot with my bow.
