Hi all, Ive got two really nice toms roosting on the back edge of a cornfeild I'll be hunting, hope they stay put for 12 more days!! Always did really well on this property but had never had them rooste there, could get interesting! Not working still so I plan on hitting them hard the whole first week! I'll be hunting the first few days with signman53 from team 25, so I'll have to shoot quick! Maybe I'll leave a jake for him . Looks like Mudchicken is up first this weekend....Good luck Muddy!! Good luck to everyone else also It's about time for team 23 to start puttin up some numbers!!!

Well was driving home from campus and up on this hill where I saw a bird strutting couple weeks ago...they were back and I had my camera! There's actually a couple strutters and the beards on them...WOW. Too bad it isn't land I can hunt[:@][&o]Oh well...hope to scout some out closer to home here where I can hunt. Gets the nerves rattled though in anticipation:D

Heyteam
Just got back from an early mourning scout. My two roosting toms have turned into three and they have 13 hens withem! Thats a whole lot more hens than i'd like to see with em but roosted em last night and picked out i spot where i figured i would set up on them. If i would have been in that spot this morn and it was opening day i think i'd be posting a bird right now. They came down and walked 20 yrds from the spot!! Lots of gobbles, yelps and cutting too!! Really got me fired up! Also have another spot where i seen two of the biggest toms i've ever seen the other night, but have'nt seen them since! Gonna look hard for em tonite and tomorrow.I'd love to figure those two out set up the trail cam and show y'all some pics of em, they are monsters!

Hey j76 you may know this and I am wasting my breath, but just trying to help..A buddy of mine that is an HS Pro/field staffer has a strategy for henned up birds like that...If after a few days you don't get one and they roost in the same trees every night bust them off the roost just after dark and then they will be fired up in the morning trying to find the hens...he goes out and hour or so earlier and owl hoots...if they are gobbling early..good chance to get them. Just and FYI....Be safe.

I stuck a trail cam right in front one of my secondary blind locations, over the last few days, just to see what was going on? Looks like I had atleast a couple of visitors that may be in trouble over the next couple weeks. :)
