Well here is the first pic I will post! This was on the way to Cabela's....we saw three groups of birds on the way. All had one strutter, the first was right below my house in the field and then these were closer to Cabela's later in the day after a rain shower had passed and the sun had came out.







Here in awhile I will post pics of the four turkey species mount pictures I got from Cabela's today.

That is the list of guys I have addresses for when it comes to the hni sticker. JW has the stickers and will be mailing them Monday(april 13) from what I got from the thread. So the rest of the team(3 members) have not sent me their address. If I don't have your address I can't send you the sticker. So please get with me about it.

Also lets liven this thread up...anyone hunting or anything?

Put us on the scoreboard Ken:D I brought home a Kansas bird. 24lbs, 3/4in spurs, 9in beard. I'll tell you more about it and post some pics when i get some more time. I have to figure out how to shrink my pictures.

Awesome. If you need a program to size pics. www.download.com has a free download of IRfan View. It's just a basic photo program that has minimal effects, but does resize images. It's a small program as well and very basic to use.


But great job! Can't wait for the pics and the story. As soon as you get the pics and the score I will get us up on the scoreboard.


I also pm'd and emailed the three members who haven't sent me their address and asked them to update us in the thread as to what they have been up to. Don't know who is hunting and who's not.

well here he is the gimme bird. My friends had this group of birds patterned pretty well with a blind set up on a field edge where they flew down every day. They didn't gobble much but they flew down 20yds from the blind. I smoked him and we were walking out as the sun came over the horizon. The next morning was cold windy and rainy. Tried to get in on a group of birds. They came up to within 30yds on the other side of a brush stickup. They wouldn't come on up and ducked into the woodline and pitched a creek. That night I got to go coon huntin for the first time. We just ran the dogs but they treed a couple of coons. It was pretty darn fun. Saturday mornin we tried to set up two blinds on the group of turkeys we'd seen the morning before. Me and Charlotte in one and Darrel and their son Ellis in the other. We were in a dofhouse blind and it was cramped. I didn't figure we would kill anytheng out of it but we would have a good seat to watch ellis kill his first bird. Well when it started gettin light we realized the birds were roosted right above us. They flew down across the creek. I figure they seen our blind movin around because it was so cramped. the fishin was good caught a lot of bass. Found lots of mushrooms. Had a blast! SUCCESS.
