Nice birds! I hope to add to our score at the end of April. My son got his bird Easter Sunday. I posted the story and picture on the forum.

No luck on my season opener. Cold, windy with freezing rain and sleet. Two Toms and two hens did come into my set up. The lead tom ducked into the brush at 35yds. The other kept the hens between me and him. The only shot I had was after they had moved off the property, and I refuse to be a poacher. second day not much happened. I busted one bird on the edge of a cornfield. He never came back to play. Oh well better luck next weekend.

This just in. I have clearance from the tower to go out again tomorrow! Last day of the first IL 5-day season. I'll also be out next weekend for 3rd season! Hope to have good news when I get back. I was hunting next to a standing cornfield, when I left on tues the farmer was harvesting the corn ( and spilling a lot!) Since all the other fields aroundthere have been picked in the fall I imagine all the birds in the neighborhood will be converging on this field!
