Well team, my season opens on Wed. of next week. I have jury duty the two days before...oh well right, go in the morning and scout the afternoon!
Nice birds taken so far. I am getting my stuff together and am scouting. I know where they roost, I know where the rest mid day and i know where they travel before the go to roost right before dark.
I think i have it pretty well figured out. So i will let you know.
trying to decide between gun and bow....I would love to do it with the bow, but I am afraid I wont get them in close enough.....probably will tot both along!!!!
Good luck all

NC bird down on opening morning
hey guys. season just came in today here in central NC and i got me one in one hour this morning. took this bird here at my house hunting in a turkey blind over a chufa field. had two gobblers and three hens in the field. shot my bird at about 25 yards with a 12 gauge using 3 1/2" winchester mag elites. the bird weighed 18 lbs exact and had 10 3/4" beard and 1 1/4" spurs.
ps-what do i need to do about posting this on the score page? this is my first turkey contest.

Well fellas, ive been out only three times this year due to work and college. Early in the season was great, but we've had windy, cold and rainy days the past three weeks. Its not looking good for me.
