RIStrutStopper checkin' in! My name is Paul, I'll be hunting RI (1 bird limit) and CT (3 bird limit). Season starts April 30 for me. Any suggestions for team names? Here's a couple to consider:

im gonna introduce myself. my name is evan, im 16 and this will be my 1st year turkey hunting, so i might need some advice/tips along the way. my season is from april 18th- may 17th and not sure about the bag limit

I'll check in. I'll be hunting in Texas and we have a 4 bird limit but I doubt I'll get anywhere near that. My property for turkey hunting is pretty hit or miss. Hopefully I'll get a chance at one sometime this spring.

I will be hunting in west central Illinois. This is actually only my 2nd year turkey hunting. Last year I dropped a 23lbs. tom the first morning I sat in a blind. Going to try to get out there and chase them with the Mathews this year though.

We should probably wait until we have more people check in before we vote on a name. I didn't even think the teams were going to be announced until early march.

Patience young grasshopper! Not everyone is on here everyday. Give it a little time. Teams were not even supposed to be picked yet, and there is always some stragglers.

I'll PM the folks that haven't checked in yet and ask them to stop by and introduce themselves. If they don't all check in then we'll ask for alternates. I'm sure its still too early to be asking for alternates.

Hunting Iowa again this year....big eastern longbeards. Will be hunting 3 weeks in April with my bow, and 3 in May witha shotgun.

Sorry boys. Been out of town for work on big construction project we have goin'.

I'll be hunting WI easterns from April 22 thru the 26th up here in Door County WI. Camoed Rem 870 shotgun for me with Hevi and a Jellyhead.

Ok boys, who wants to be captain? Lets get a few names in the hat and lets pick someone. I'm thinkin Mossbergman11/OH might like the job. Whoever we pick needs to look at JW's post and see what's involved and be up for it. Any team name you all like is good with me. Mossy, you don't have to be the most experienced hunter in the woods, you just have to do what JW says in his team captain post (get stickers and mail out to team, collect and report team scores, ask for an alternate if hunter kid doesn't show by tomorrow, etc.)If the team is good with it, then its up to you if you want to do it. What does everyone say?

Evan, Team captain isnt hard, the hardest thing is gathering everyones address, and mailing stickers. Now this will cost you about $5 (11 stamps plus envelopes). I think you would do just fine as captain, and if you dont want to mail the stickers, I will do that part of it.



BTW, hunter_kid20 hasnt been on for about 2 months. I will pm once more, and if no response by fri eve, we will ask for an alt.

No problem Evan. Someone will mail out the stickers for you. Why don't you let JW know you're the captain and tell him what the team name is. Johnnybravoo77, I think you'll have to edit the title of this thread with the team name. Do you want to mail out the stickers or would you like me to do it? We should probably let JW know whatever we decide on that so he can get the stickers out to one of us.
