Went out again this evening. There have been about 20 turkeys using this particular field, and i ended up having 6 hens 1 jake and 1 mature tom come in. i never had a shot at the tom even if i had i dont know if i would have taken it since he only had about a 8-8.5" beard. I may head back out there tomorrow evening if it is not raining. my dad told me that he has been seeing 2-3 mature toms out there so who knows what i will see.

My season starts Monday here in Michigan, and the weather looks like rain for Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday. Cant believe it.

Way to go Jome.

I'll be out Monday for our opener with my bow.

Hopefully this season goes well but there is a chance that it might be a crapshoot. 2 years ago we had very poor nesting conditions and 2 year old bird numbers will be down alot this year.

I guess it's going to be go big or go home!

Season starts Wed. boys!!! Can't hardly contain myself with this nice weather and hearing everyones stories from down home in IL. They are really laying them down this weekend down there. I'll be out in the middle of Hoosier National Forest from Wed- Fri. afternoon. If you don't hear from me by Friday night, there is a good chance I got kidnapped by a sasquatch!
