Nope, I am going to Kansas this weekend to lay the smack down on 'em. I am hunting a big piece ofproperty that a friend of mine has leased up there that he doesnt turkey hunt on and hasnt since he has had the place leased; 6 yearsI went out there last year to help him do some shed hunting and we saw literally hundreds of turkeys. Hook city here I come! Im gonna try and kill one with big spurs, I dont really care about beards right now. In the past 8 years or so, I have only killed 1 bird with spurs bigger than 1 1/8" so I am looking for the limbhangers. I will post pics monday!

I'm still waiting to hear from A.R.Hunter, Brain Cote, fenrick and MichcialP and with hopes that they will have something to add to the score card.

Well, back from KS. Killed a HOSS, Inch and 5/16 spurs and guess what... 3 beards! No bs! His beards were not as long as the ones we killed in oklahoma but he was a heaver bird with much better spurs. The spurs were "broomed" (sheep term for worn down, dont know if its the same for turkeys ) and still that long. I will post pics when I get a chance. By my calculation he will be in the 75 ish range.

This has been the best turkey season of my life! Kansas is a place like no other thats for sure, but Oklahoma treated me well this year!

Good luck to anyone who is still going out, hope you all find the success I did.

Hey guys sorry I have been away for awhile my internet has been out and have been really busy! Anyways I did shoot a bird with my bow. I was a small Jake. I dont know if ya want to try to get any kind of score out of it at all. The beard was 3 1/2" and it weighted 14.5 pounds. Let me know if ya want some pics or whatever but thats my update!

Season ended with a bang! (pun intended!) I went to kansas with a good friend 2 weekends ago. We drove almost 7 hours to hunt these turkeys and had both of our tags filled in under an hour... A little bitter sweet but we didnt care. Had 3 toms come in and only 1 walk away. Mine had, wait for it, 3 beards! I don't know what the deal is with me and triple beards this year but I like my luck! He also sported some inch and 1/4 hooks, my longest to date.

Until this season, I had only killed 1 multi bearded turkey and it was barely a double. This year I killed 2 triples and witnessed a double and another triple killed. Crazy!

So here is the score: 22.5 lbs, 9.25" beard, 4 1/8" beard, 1 7/8" beard, 1.25"spurs for a totalof 78 even.
