RE: Team #12 Thread Wingbone Warriors
The Illinois season (northern zone)starts Monday the 13th. I will be out for a few hours that morning. Hopefully, it only takes a few minutes. The turkeys were gobbling out my back door last Saturday. They're pumped and so am I. Guess I better get out the calls and pattern the gun.
I hope mother nature gets this crappy weather out of her system and Monday turns out to be warm and bright. I'll reportonmy hunt come Monday.

Took the day off from my part time job to do some scouting and found alot of turkey sign everywhere I walked.
Tracks, scratchings, droppings and wing featers all over the woods I hunt, now I know where their roosting and where they go to feed.
I even found a spot where some toms have been struting, I'm gonna set up a ground blind between a travel route they take and ambush them as they head for the lake once they fly down from the pines.
It was a real good day weather wise to be out and what little snow was left made it easier to track them, I just can't wait for the 27th to get here.
