RE: Team 1 thread
That sucks MGH, my father had a similar problem with his 870 last year, no click or anything just a dead trigger. Had to take it to a gunsmith twice to get straightened out but it cost him a bird and a coyote. The good news is that you were able to call him in range, that's the hard part. Now that you have a gun that works i'm sure that old tom is in big trouble!

RE: Team 1 thread
Sorry to hear that JW! what happened, just too far?
I whiffed on a nice one last year... on a chip shot... It was the last day of the season... Already had 3 long beards down. 2 longer shots & 1 avg shot... last day B.I.L. and I set up and called a beauty right in during the last hour of season... I guess I took it for granted and didn't settle in... just shook my head... wanted to puke / cry.. it happens... passed on the jake, eh? I haven't had a jake come in in years... been lucky... Brother in Law & his other brother in law pulled a double on 2 jakes opening AM... |

Nice Western. JW how much can you make one of those calls with the spurs in it for? I have a set of hooks that are just over 1 1/2 inches.

RE: Team 1 thread
The spur call has a real nice rasp to it......and is used like any ole trumpet.
I use trumpets/wingbones on windy days JW |
