Steamed Deer Steaks
- 4 Venison Steaks
- Add Salt, Pepper & Garlic to Flour
Lightly coat deer steaks with flour and fry in oil until brown.
In an oven-safe dish, place a layer of fried steaks and a layer of sliced onions.
Liberally add Worchester Sauce.
Continue adding the layers of meat, onions, and Worchester Sauce until the dish is full.
Add enough water to fill half of the dish and place the covered dish in the oven at 300*.
Cook this dish in the oven for about 1 1/2 hours, stirring the meat about every 30 min.
Be sure to maintain enough water in the dish or the meat will burn.
The water and the oven heat will steam the meat making it very tender and will creat a gravy out fo the breading and onions.
