Trumpeter Swan (cygnus buccinator)
Known for its absolutely massive size - these animals grow to over six feet in length - this species is almost identical in appearance to the Tundra swan, the only difference being its sheer size. (Trumpeters also bow their neck more than the rigid Tundra swan.) They can be found in the lakes and ponds of the extreme Northwest of the continent and in scattered locations in the western half of the US.
