Recently released on CDX, Vol. 433, and available thru AirPlay Direct at http://www.airplaydirect.com/BadBobJimmy, “I Hunt Deer in Posted Places” has quickly caught the ear of listeners, and is catching fire at radio. A sampling of recent programmer comments include:

badbob.jpg“These crazy hunters are flippin' out over this song!” - Jarrrett Jackson, MD, KCJC, Russellville, AR.

“Our most requested song.” - Dusty Edwards, MD, KREK, Bristow, OK.

“BADBOB & Jimmy are getting more requests than the Country superstars!” - Steve Coston, GM, 103 Country, Michigan.

BADBOB & Jimmy is the alter-ego of Country singer, Kevin Blake Weldon. Weldon, who was born and raised in Lufkin, Texas, grew up hunting, fishing and playing baseball. The concept for BADBOB & Jimmy came about after friends heard Weldon singing around the campfire, strumming his guitar and making up lyrics to popular country songs. At their urging, Weldon recorded an album’s worth of comedy material aimed at outdoor enthusiasts.

“I Hunt Deer in Posted Places,” is from the forthcoming CD, BADBOB & JIMMY: POSTED PLACES, a collection of redneck hunting comedy skits, original songs, and parodies of famous country songs, which is slated for national release on December 11, by Badbob and Jimmy Entertainment.

Weldon is proud of “I Hunt Deer in Posted Places,” but he is quick to point out, “While the song makes light of spotlighting, trespassing and poaching – it is strictly intended as comedy only.” And he adds, “We must abide by all game laws and regulations in order to protect our natural resources for future hunting and fishing.” Weldon also backs up these words with actions. He is currently the national spokesman for two different hunting organizations: “Kids Hunting For a Cure” and “Outdoors Without Limits.” He performs regularly for these and other hunting groups and gun clubs who have embraced BADBOB & Jimmy, from Michigan to Mississippi.
