It’s that time of year when we are all anticipating the upcoming hunting seasons. Now is the time to get those firearms out, tune that bow, and work with that hunting dog. Damaged broadheads should be replaced with new sharp ones; arrow fletching should be checked for working condition. Firearms should be cleaned; oiled, and tested to be sure they are in good working order. If you have any questions about your equipment or hunting in general be sure to check out our Message Board, there’s a lot of information there!
August may herald the latter part of summer but it is a signal that we hunters have waited on since last season. Don’t overlook this month as the squirrel hunting season opens in many states. Squirrels can be great hunting as well as eating and can also be good practice for bigger game.
