I have an Original Ol Man Climber. It's light and works just dandy for me. I feel safe up in it too. Ol Man makes a great line of stands. If you get a climber, get the Ol Man Vision though. The 40 extra bucks or so buys you a lot more space up there in the tree. And you can use the bar for a footrest of a gunrest, depending on bowhuntin or gun hunting.

Be sure there are trees around that you can use a climber on, I was going to get one, but before I got it I went into the woods one day and realized there werent any suitable trees, either they where too crooked or they had branches too far down on the trunk, and you wouldnt be able to get up off the ground more than a few feet. A tree stand that straps or chains to the tree gives you a lot more options for what kind of trees you can set it up on, but it's also harder to set up.

The trees around here are either way too big or way too small for a climbing stand. There isn't really any large trees beside a trail or anything like to hunt out of so I pretty much ground hunt. But I have found a climber that I liked for about 100 bucks in cabelas.Something like a trophy lite pinnacle or close to that.
