Heyy, how's everyone season been so far? Let's hear some good hunting stories, if you have some. I will admit that I haven't gotten out yet and the season opened the first of September. It's killing me but I haven't got time and we've had clients nonstop. October should be a good month, everything will be slowing down and my draw elk opens up.
Archery season opens here on Oct. 1. But we'll probably wait until it starts snowing. We don't hunt from a stand, we track them. (To be honest, my husband does the tracking. I just tag along behind and try to learn. ) Also, he believes the meat cools quicker in cold weather and tastes better.
Remember to wear wool when you go out in the snow

My hunting season has been limited. I went dove hunting to no avail so I switched over to pig hunting. So far I've been charged by one pig and shot him at 6 yds from the hip and I stuck a pig with a knife while pig hunting with dogs in South Texas Saturdat morning. Other than that I am gonna be limited to how much I go since I just got a puppy that is gonna need a lot of training.

Shot some dove. Teal season is in, and in the past week, ive seen every bit of a thousand woodies, geese by the hundreds, and only one teal. Hunted some deer, no shooters.
