Does anyone know of a web site that sells tree fertilzer spikes cheap? I am looking for spikes for fruit trees (apple) and nut trees (white oaks). I appreciate the help.

take a #6 penny nail and nail them into the base of the tree ,then drive them into the ground on the outer side of the tree limbs .this will increase the amount of fruits on the trees. i did this to my apple orchard and it increased the apples by 50% the first yr. and nails are alot cheaper then fertilizer sticks .

the trees needs alot of iron, when the nail starts rust its putting the iron back into the ground and into the base of the tree. take where your limbs come out of the tree on the farthest point and place the nails into the ground, this is where the roots of the tree are ending. put a dozen or so into the base of the tree, and place about 12inches apart into the ground. you will be amazed at what it does for fruit trees. like i said before it gave me 50% more apples on the trees.

If you ever go around old farms you will always find old horse shoes hanging in the apple trees.they were put there to rust and put iron in the ground.
