Any good bait?

Use corn, but want more good bait for a bait pile, plus corn is expensive. I want something that deer will come running to. I have a few food plots. Also can anyone post pictures for making feeders, I have an electric on and some wood. Want to make one. Whats the recipe for the salt minerals to
