Default What will happen to my plots

I planted green patch plus, shot plot, and clover plus on Sept. 5th. We hadn't had a drop of rain since then until last Friday night when we got .15 inches. Not alot but more than we've had. I haven't checked my plots in over a week, but the last time I saw them there wasn't a whole lot coming up yet due to the lack of moisture. Then this past Monday night it got down around 30-31 degrees. But temps now have rebounded and have been in the mid 70's during the day and 40's during the night. Soil temps are still in the low to mid 50's. I'm wondering if those cold temps ruined all my summer work in my plots, or will they be alright since the soild temps aren't very low and daytime temps are back to normal?

I think as soon as you get a good rain you will see your plots come on out. Looking at the weather, this weekend may solve your problem.

I think you're right. Chance of rain today through Sunday. Hopefully sometime in the next four days we'll get a nice soaking rain and my plots will come on strong.

I planted 3 plotts of New Zealnd Whit clover last year. I t was put in the ground less than a week after the last rain in May. I came back 3 to 4 weeks later and a nice littlet green fuzz accross the entire plot. Well we didn't have a drop rain after that until the last week in August and very hot temps. I went out at the end of July begiining of Sept. and all 3 plots were dead. Big brown patches, the clover crunched when walking n it. I thought every thing was gone. Well I went up to 1 of of the Plotts about 2 weeks ago ( first time tere since last winter) and the clover has came in and is well over ankle deep. The land owner mowed it and it looks great except for the weeds that will be herbisided in the spring. So if it don't come in very good this fall let spring get here berfore plowing it up. Watch it closly in early spring to see if it is taking off and as if not replant after threat of frost. From what I have seen last year the spring will tell the difference.

They are showing a little sign of life. Definately much better than they were two weeks ago when I last saw them. We got 4 tenths of rain on Friday then sunny skies on Saturday. Now more rain is forecasted the next two days so I think they should be alright as long as it doesn't freeze to soon. Hopefully they will thicken up a little more.
