Default Fertilizer?

I have made a food plot in the middle of our land. It is on a ridge point 1/4 of an acre in size. It had a stand of hardwoods and some grass. I clear most of it out and sowed 120 lb of pHfertilizer by biologic. I wasn't able to do a soil test but I went by the requriment on the bag. I am going to plant a mix of clovers, oats, weat, and lablab. Do I need to add more fertilizer and what mix? The mix in the bag are 8-8-8. I am hoping to get this in by fall. I need all the help I can get.
P.S. I have pic of the plot if anyone need to see them.

Thanks, Chris

At least you have a start, that's the good news. You can still do a soil test later. but for now, as the different seeds sprout, pay special attention to the clovers. If they can't seem to compete with the grains that may mean that you may need more lime. Even a bag or two of pelletized lime will help the plot out. Most soils will be on the low side, and it takes a lot of lime to make it go too far. Even if the clovers don't flourish, you still have the grains to give you a fair hunting plot. Good luck.

The best price that I found for fertilizer at the local farm outlet was 15-15-15 by the ton. It makes sense to spend 25% more for 50% more active ingredients. That is if you can use that much.

around here you can go to the co-op and buy a 5 gallon bucket of fert. it's 5 bucks and you bring your own bucket. it'll weigh around 45lbs. five bucks can buy you 46-0-0, 18-48-0, or 0-0-60. a 5 gallon bucket is more than enough for any .25 acre plot that's lacking in nutrients.
