Default What to do with Peas and Oats

I planted a 2 acre plot into peas and oats around Memorial Day. It has really come along nicely. I also put a scattering of sugar beets into the drill when I planted.
My question is should I just let the plot run it's course, or should I mow off the oats and peas to give the beets a better shot? Or leave it alone?
It is an area that had not been turned in 15-20 years. I plan to Round-up it in the spring and get clover in there.

If the oats have headed out & are discoloring (probably) - I'd mow it off, and maybe even disk it once - depending on how many beets came along.

If you can mow the Oats without clipping the peas too much, then mow. The Peas should be a draw until your first frost and shouldn't hold back the Beets too much. After a frost, the deer will probably start digging out the Beets. The deer might dig up the ground some and help your discing in the spring. You have a good hunting plot, don't mess it up til spring.
