Default How do i keep the bear away. From deer food piles.

I live in New Jersey, and the black bear pop is high. When I Hunt I use bait piles but no matter what I put out it will attract black bears,So my Question for all you, Is there anything out there that only deer will eat that i could put out that will not attract black bear. Thank you very much....

Umm....impossible to do. Bears will eat anything that isn't dirt or rocks. You need to start working on that black bear population.

A good sharp broadhead or possibly a wolverine. Other than that I think you're out of luck. A hungary bear is a persistent bear.

You don't. And my experience is that if you keep putting out the feed, and the bears stay in the area alot....your deer hunting will suffer.

I'm from Jersey also, So I know what you are talking about.....Jersey bears ARE BIG AND EVERYWHERE!!!!!.The only suggestion I have is to get a bear permit and keep baiting....
