RE: Imperial Alfa-Rack in northern climates?
My cousin lives in Buffalo, NY and he plants the Alfa Rack about 60 miles from town on his farm. He says it survived the last two winters and looks good right now. They have had a good growing season so far. He sprays for grass once a year and adds a mainteniance fert. each spring and fall. That's it. He says he will add 3 acres this Aug.
He said to make sure the pH is correct before you plant, 6.5 pH or higher I think. Keep the seeds shallow and wait on rain.
I planted it in MO and it is in its 4th year and starting to thin out a little. I should get at least two more years out of the planting.
Good luck.
