How to keep raccoons and squirrels out of a deer feeder
I can't tell you how many times critters have tore the spinner or control box off my feeder (not to mention eating all that corn).
I tried something different that seems to work. It's a modification of a set up my cousin uses on his place (5000 acres hill country Texas). The white pipes are painted thin gauge steel tubes that came from an old above ground pool.

The motor on the feeder I used to have had a built in hot wire you could hook up to give squirrels and raccoons a small shock. Barring that, I think it would be fairly easy to rig up some heavy duty chicken or rabbit wire fencing around the motor.
