First use brush hog to cut. In a week hit it with round up. Then disc . Give weeds a chance to sprout again and apply round up again. Now you are good to plant.

Next year, be sure to spray before the seed heads form and try to break the seed/grass cycle. It will take a few years of spraying to break the cycle and then it won't be 100%.
