Default Mineral/attractant mixtures

Hello everyone. New to this forum and looks like a good one. Was curious on what everyone has/is using for some mixtures. I refuse to buy these items at retail stores as I am from an Agriculture community and know how/where to get the same ingredients for 1/4 the price if not cheaper, without the picture of a big buck on the bag.
I have been experimenting with many different products the past 5 yrs or so but havn't really found anything really spectacular quite yet. Im doing some messing around with Dried Distillers as it is very cheap $4/50lb bag and the smell of it drives deer crazy.
So lets hear it.....what has everyone had good luck with???? Thanks

I was planning on a food plot but I dont think it will work out this year. I broke down and bought that black magic from deer cane so I ll see how it works out. Is that what its called is dried distillers or does it have another name. could I get it somewhere like southern states. the black magic was 4 bucks but it was only for 1 pound.

I bought a jug of the original deer cane liquid and i put it out a couple weeks ago. The deer haven't dug up the ground like they say they do but i got a little buck that keeps going to it. I'm gonna check it again tomorrow and i'll tell you how it's done.

ive used the liquid deer cane and just dont like it because it doesnt last. i use mineral licks that i got at the feed store (used for cows and bigs to get em bigger) and they last from august to march then when it rains they get in the soil and deer will eat the dirt

Instead of trying to get the deer to come to you, in a place it does not normaly use, does not feel comfortable in, and is not intending to go to - why not set up along the trail it semi-regularly uses and ambush it when it comes by?
