Default Homemade Feeders

I was wondering if anyone had any good plans/ideas for making a homemade feeder? Thanks.

Snook, not too many replies here, I'm gonna move it to the Wildlife Management forum for better results. I hope you don't mind.

There's a guy that hunts the same property as me that has a little pvc rig. It's a piece of 3'' pvc about 5' long tied to a tree. At the bottom of it, it has an elbow with a wooden pan attached to it. He fills the top of the pvc with corn and it fills the pan up, he keeps filling it to the top till it wont hold anymore. It has really good success! The deer hit it hard, and it's really easy to make.

Biggest problem I've seen with the PVC feeders is just what TimberCreek has here. It looks like coons came in and pulled out half or more of the corn in one night and leave it in a nasty mess. A barrel with a timer on it is the most efficient feeder. Dang coons, squirrels, rats, birds, coyotes, hogs and everything in the woods will probably eat more than the deer.

Here's a large feeder I made from a plastic barrel. I'll send details if you are interested.
