Default elevated box blind

I am planning on putting up a box blind sometime this month and was just wondering if anyone had any ideas or blueprints for a homemade box blind. I plan to put it at least ten feet high and am just looking for a cheaper alternative to buying an expensive kit. Thanks everyone

i just get 5 sheets of plywood some 2x4s and 4 4x4s and build your basic box. cut one half feet off the 4 sides makeing it 6.5feet tall then build your flood with 2 braces across the middle. put plywood on top and for the floor. then slap a sheet of tin on top.

for the woods i hunt the stands are only about 3-4 feet up due to the trees and stuff blocking my shots. but we do have some that are up over 10feet

They do make metal siding/roofing in a mossy oak. A company called Metal Sales is the distributor. Look at yards for it.

Here's one I built from plans I bought at this site: http://www.deerblindplans.com/index.html
I modified as I seen fit and they are pretty easy to make and transport in pieces to the site. This one is on 8 ft posts and my second one is on 4 ft posts (next picture). If you get them too high in the woods it is hard to see thru the trees. Had to build leg supports cause I am in ozarks and mostly rocks otherwise you could use ground anchors. It has a propane heater an office chair and I even put a fold down seat so the wife can sit with me sometimes.

well first it all depends on how big you want it.. we built at our club that was 4x8... that way we don't have to cut the plywood and you have alot of waste... on puttting it up we found some used scaffolds real cheap and we put them up to 18ft... just an idea

I'm planning on putting one around my ladder stand. Just slap some 2x4's around the tree and put either plywood or camo burlap(that's what I'm doing) that way you have a gun rest from the 2x4's.
good luck with the building.
