I have to agree with Antler Eater. Unless it has been injured in some way, witch is very possible.

I agree recurve....I have found hundreds of sheds and the horn in that pic is a cut-off......not to argue or anything, but it is what it is.

It is sad to say that people don't believe me that this is an actual shed. I have another shed antler in my room of a spike and they both are similar in the bottom part. I agree it does look like it is cut off, but I can assure you that if you can see the bottom of it you will see the little pores and some dried blood on the bottom. There is still fibers around the base, either from hair or dried velvet. If I can figure out how to make my camera not flash so brightly and make it difficult to view then I will post another picture of the base.

BBS, my buddy shot a small buck with velvet on one side and the antler fell out when he hit the ground. The antler fit into the pedicle like a plug about an inch below the burr. I wasn't calling you a liar, sorry for the miss understanding. I believe it was injury induced, watch for the half rack or maybe non-typ next year.

Well I have never seen the deer so I don't know if it was injured. Like I said it was broke off but it looks a little funky where it is broke off. BUT I have another shed that is about 6 inches long and the bottom part is the same way so I don't believe it was injured at all.

All the sheds I've found are rounded just past the burr, maybe a 1/4 inch below it.

Hey, that's the tip of a finger that woman found in her chili! Is that a picture of it after she spit it out on the floor?
