Default Back from the first hunt.

My wife and I just got home from our first Mule deer hunt tonight. We had antlerless tags for the first hunt. We tagged two really big does and our hunting friend bagged two as well. We ground some of the meat and made sausage and some burger and have it put away already. We used my Remington 7600 30-06 with Federal factory loads with Speer 150 grain grandslams. Both shots were around 150 yards. The bullets did pretty good damage but not excessive for a 2920 fps load. I have a week off then its back for another rifle hunt then muzzle loader season starts. Hope evryone is doing well hunting. Saw some dandy bucks, both Mule deer and Whitetail.

I didn't take any pictures this time but will on the next trip. I want to get some pictures of our hunting area and camp. I can have my boy post them as I don't think I have the equipment to do so.

My brother got a nice whitetail a couple days ago. We ground about half of it today and mixed it with pork for sausage. They are extending the doe season here in ND to try to thin out some more does. We are overrun with them.
