My 10 pointer got poached Friday nite

I guess i should say this right away, i dont mean this deer as mine in a selfish way. i just say it becauase i watched him grow all summer and i just kinda refer to himas my ten pointer. i mean, i dont care if he got shot legally. its just when the following happened is when i get mad. I just got off the phone with my one of my friends that hunts close to our house and i asked him if they had seen the 10 point or who got him. He told me that somebody was out friday nite driving their truck on a gravel road when he allegedly hit the big 10 pointer and an 8 pointer with a drop tine at the same time. The chances of both of them getting hit at the same exact time on a 35 MPH gravel road is like winning the lottery. Rumor has it the warden is investigating. i hope he gets these idiots. i take offense to any deer being poached but when its a magnificent creature that you watch all summer hoping you or somebody you know gets him, its a different story. i will update when i find out more.

awww man that has gotta suck. i had a big buck get taken the other day my dad saw chasing a doe rite towards my stand just inside the edge of the woods and a road hunter got him when he stopped to scent check tha does.... i know how u feel man. road hunters need shot themselves

Is road hunting legal in some places? It's illegal here, so I was just curious, sorry to hear about your loss there... that stinks.

yes...in tennessee it is indeed very illegal and probably the most practiced hunting method in our area awful anuff. i wished they would employ more game wardens so there would be anuff to patrol the areas that are hot with road hunters.

I hate poachers as well i spent the week at my friends farm too hunt on. the 3 day we drove to the back part of his land and we found 4 dead deer the doe's were butched and the buck was left back straps gone and horn's rest was left total BS .i think potchers should be kos

People have special reinforced trucks around here that they use to run deer down for the meat

Sounds fishy to me too! Deer hunting took a black eye this weekend!...along with many other parts of society!
