Default The saddest story you will ever hear

please let me wallow in my sorrow for a moment. In 30 years I have never missed a PA. buck season opener at the hunting camp i attened in clinton county. Well that has all ended. with the start of a new job, i was unable to get the time off. I tryed everything. On top of that the owner of the camp sold off 350 acers of the 700 to the camp next to us family illness fourced him to do this. The scuttlebut is sthat he is thinking about selling it all. So there you have it. I am in a state of eternal depresion and have no place to hunt this year. Not only that I will probably be looking for another place to hunt in the future. OOH WHOOOO IS ME IF IT WEREN'T FOR BAD LUCK I'D HAVE NO LUCK AT ALL. tHINK OF ME AS YOU LINE UP YOUR SITES ON THAT BIG ONE

Sorry to hear about that, but be optimistic; behind every ending is a new beginning. It's not the end of the world by any means.

Next year will be here before you know it!

i think i may be missing the opener too.....i just recently got mono......and im not feeling up to hunting or id be hunting for my turkey right now....and i doubt ill have the energy to hunt next week.....the doc said i COULD hunt.....but dont expect to walk far...and if i kill a deer he said he doubts i could ever drag it out.....soooo ya im up a creek...my closest spot is about a mile from a road.....and i dont go out there to watch the deer....dad would drag it for me...but his spots not near my spot this year.....i dont know how hed pull it off.......i dont know what will happen.....but right now im not feeling it......i think ill just end up hunting the saturdays.....and the late season.....im really not too concerned about it right now....(maybe thats because i had a 101 temp for 36hrs now and my throats been swelled shut for 3 days...and sore for a week...and it takes all my energy just to shower...)..so maybe ill feel better...but the doc said the tired and weakness will last about a month or so......so who knows....ill see one week from today if im going.....i WANT to sight in my rifle tomarow....but heck.....even today im not feeling that.....stuff happens.....

Now add to that the fact that you can't work any more.

Like me.

People tell me just get a job.

It just is not that simple.

I have a lot of health problems.

Thats not all the - last FIVE places I put in job appacations

They all said the same thing Why would they hire a

Person on disability that hasn't had a job in over five years.

When they have about 20 to 25 people wanting the same job that is not disabled.

And there insurance rates would double with a disabled person on the pay roll.

So they would not and could not hire me.

So I am in the same boat you are plus not haveing any Money too.

I hope it gets better for you.

nyflyer, I feel for ya, but I think that mauser06 told a sadder story than you. The poor guy has mono,,yuck!! I believe you will find a new hunting spot, and hopefully it will be better than the spot you were at. I know it is hard to lose a good hunting spot, there are emotional ties and memories that go with the land. I got kicked off my favorite rabbit hunting land yesterday, hundreds of acres now closed to hunters.
This happened while my beagles were on a great chase..

Good luck, next year you will be posting pictures of the big one you will get on your new hunting spot!!

mauser06,hope you get better soon, I had mono this summer, no fun!!!!!

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I am currently looking for other properties for the next season. Good luck to ya, because Joe D. is right..
