Default Too far off?

I was just out shooting my 270 to make sure its still on for the upcoming rifle season. I was shooting at about 100-125 yards. At this distance i was about an inch low, and an inch and a half to the right. In my area i will not be shooting past 150-175 yards. Will these be close enough or should i try to get it dead center?

Default RE: Too far off?

I would want to be centered for windage (left-right) and an inch or so high.

For example I sight my 30-30 2 inches high at 100 yards. This puts it dead on at 150, and 4 inches low at 200. That means I can aim exactly where I plan to hit it and if it's within 200 yards, I should take the deer.
