hunting deer with dogs

just curious to see how many states out there are allow , hunting deer with dogs. Here in Va there allow us to east of the blue ridge with dogs. just curious i guess.

Don't know about Texas, I think it is no though and sure hope that is the case, but that is just one guys opinion.

Legal in Ontario but all dogs require a hunting dog licence.

Legal in NC, my favorite way to hunt...although I only get to use dogs very seldom.

In Missouri,, it isnt legal anywhere,, but that doesnt stop it around my area.. In a very rural part of my county and the neighboring county to the south,, it is the way everyone does it.. They have done it so long that they refuse to change,, and the law enforcement doesnt seem to be able to stop them either,, most of these guys wouldnt know how to kill a deer around here if they didnt have their hounds,, or ride around in the truck,, its pitiful but i guess i have to live with it, like it or not.

Actually there are several areas that are east of the Blue Ridge where hunting with dogs is illegal. I copied and pasted this from the VDGIF website since I'm too lazy to type it

From the VDGIF website: Dogs May Not Be Used For Deer Hunting:

West of the Blue Ridge.
East of the Blue Ridge in Bedford, Fairfax, Franklin, Henry Loudoun, Northampton, and Patrick counties, and Amherst (west of Rt. 29), Campbell (west of Norfolk Southern Railroad), Nelson (west of Rt. 151), Pittsylvania (west of Norfolk Southern Railroad), and the city of Lynchburg.

....and also no "running dogs" on Amelia, Pettigrew, Thompson, and Phelps WMA's (I checked the VDGIF site).

Here in WIsconsin they do not allow dogs hunting for deer.
