Default Game Calls (Grunts)

Just wondering what calls everyone uses, I have looked at a couple (Flambeau's squeeze play, Knight and Hales grunt) any suggestions pros/cons would be appreciated

Thanks

I like the newer grunt calls that are rubber such as the Flextone grunter or the Rubberneck, they sound more realistic to me'

My flextone was only $7, and its my favorite grunt call over many expensive solid body grunt calls

I just picked up a Knight & Hale Translator. It was only $12, and it makes a variety of sounds. I guess the only drawback is that it's the shorter, solid body instead of the rubber/plastic tube.

I'll cast a vote for the Away Bow Grunter ,
I like the fact that it's hands free , and being an inhale type it never freezes . Good sound and carrying ability too .

The one`s on the market today are very good! The H.S true-talker and the rubber nech from premos. Knight and Hale also make some very good calls as well. I don`t think you well go wrong with any one of them(IMO)

I also am very impressed with the True Talker I got. It's small and weighs hardly nothing. Easy to change from buck to doe with just a small bite down and very realistic sounding. When I'm not useing it and it's hanging around my neck---it's so light I don't even know it's there. And you can't beat the price with a stick-----7 bucks at Walmart. The True talker and once in a while my can and that's all I'm useing this season.....

For strickly grunt calls/tubes I prefer the ones that you can either exhale or inhale. Number one here they do and will freeze if blow only. Secondly it allows me to change the tone or pitch without moving a oring or depressing a band. Finally I can produce a huffing grunt that I use when rattling in heavy rut times. I use the Knight and Hale Ez Grunter with adjustable tube, which is a inhale/exhale model.

If you want to make doe and buck sounds with one call I agree the HS True Talker is the one to look at.
