Default Rub Lines/ Arkansas

Anyone starting to see any rub lines in central or southern Arkansas yet? I haven't been out in the hunting area I use stomping around cause I don't want to push them big bucks out. Thought maybe there were a few squirrel hunters out there that may have see a bunch of rubs in their area. It ought to be happening pretty soon now with the passing of the full moon and the weather starting to turn alot cooler here next week. Really looking forward to the cooler weather.... Good luck to all you bow hunters out there......bust that big one!!!!.....

Your rub lines have been there for a couple of months now at least. They really start towards the end of the summer when the bucks start to shed their velvet. I have 4 stands set up over rub lines that I found in late August.

I like to find the lines early and not disturb the area until season starts.

Hey metalback, I hunt down here in southeast Arkansas and I have found some very nice rublines while out squirrel hunting. I know what you mean about the heat. I am sick of it. But it does look like it will change just in time for the gun hunt. That is arkansas weather for ya. We didnt start to see any rubs until about 2 weeks ago. We have also seen some really nice scrapes already. What part of Arkansas do you hunt? We are in zone 12. Lots of deer here.

nnieoakley; I live in zone 11 outside Mena,up in the Ouchita Mts. I hunt here and also do alot of bow hunting in area 13 in Howard County. It should really start getting good with the cold front that's coming in this week. I've been seeing lots of small spikes and forkies in Howard County. Sure is going to be alot more comfortable sitting in my tree lounge with my carbon suit on and it being 60 degrees instead of 80 plus degrees out!!!!! Good luck with your season!!!! Bust that big ole boy!!!!!
