Default roof on stand blown off

I havent been to my stand in about 3 weeks since the hurricanes. I went to my food plot yesterday to check my stand and the roof has partially been blown off. Muzzleloader season startes here in VA Saturday. Should I try to repair it by beating and banging with a hammer this close to opening of season? or let it go and repair it later.Im afraid if I make too much noise in the next couple days it might scare the deer away.

As a patch repair I would take a piece of 3/8 plywood and either attach it with screws or use zip ties.

Look into those portable umbrella-type roofs. They're about $20 and they do the job.

Bgcorn, I know what you mean my whole stand blew over last week and the roof came off too. We had to set it back up and put the roof back on and I went and set on it 3 days later and the deer were still there. They didnt seem to mind all the racket. The day we stood it back up a doe came out to see what was making all the noise. I dont think the noise bothers them as much as some think. My brother is a timber cruiser and when the are cutting timber the deer come right out to watch. Even the bucks. So I would say put the top back on.

around here, you could bang on it all day, and the deer would walk by you an hour later.
