Default can you have to mant stands?

Can you have to many stands? Myself have 3 hang ons, 4 ladder stands, and 1 climber. It seems that each season I am buying more stands. I am hunting more woods or I find a new place to hang a stand. I bought the climber this summer but I wish hadnt I hate the thing.

Yes, you have too many stands! I will send you my address so you can send them to me. I have 2 box tower blinds and 8 stands and need more. I want to be able to hunt any part of my property. So send me yours!

Depends. . . . are these stands on private land? Do they get used by more than yourself?

I have 8 stands on a 300 acre piece of land but we almost never hunt more than 2 or 3 at a time. Stands are not placed so a shot can be of any hazard to another stand. In Texas we use feeders and on one of them I have a tripod chair stand for wind from the south and a box blind for winds from the north.

Some days the wind determines which stand you use and don't use.
Some stands are for our young hunters only, closer to the shooting lanes.
Some stands are set out for guests but not our honey hole kinda of location.

I am thinking of adding one or 2 more next spring, nice to have choices.
Wadaya think?

I like to have at least 4 or 5 on the go at all times if possible. I hunt all my own land so hopefully they are never stolen. had an interesting note left in my one permanent stand last year but no hangers have gone missing yet.

We have about 55 ladder stands and shooting houses. Had 3 ladder stands stolen this year.

I have 2 ladders and 1 climber. The ladders are left at my favorite spots and if I like a new spot the climber is the answer. I don't think you can have too many stands. I would much rather ba able to just walk to a stand and climb in instead of carrying a climber in. Have fun...shoot straight...Jim
