Slugs or Buck shot for hogs?

If it were a 12 gauge I maybe might go buckshot but not with a 20gauge and that is a tad light for that purpose also.

heres what id do id load the chamber with a slug then load the mag. with buck shot if you make the 1st shot count then everythings good but if you miss and the hog charges you, youll have a better chance of hitting it with the buck shot thats the way ive always done it and ive never had a problem yet i also use that for deer sometimes too because once it takes off running you have alot better chance of hitting it with say 8-12 pellets then with a single slug

You might have a better chance of hitting it with buckshot, but that doesn't mean the buckshot will have sufficient stopping power. If it were me, I'd go slugs all the way--and not miss.
