Default Finally made it out

Busy, busy , busy around here and the muzzleloader season is underway.

I finally had just enough time this evening to grab the gun, throw my orange vest over my street clothes (no time for camo), and hit the "back forty."

Ended up fighting mosquitos more than anything, but good to be in the woods.

Mosquitoes? Kansas! Haha, Haha, LOL! Go into the woods at this time of year on the Gulf Coast and you'd die of blood loss! The mosquitoes here are the equivalent of Vampire Bats anywhere else!
It's good to get into the woods, mosquitoes or not!

In most of Kansas you would be right.

However, this is not most of Kansas. We're literally on the edge of the Missouri River valley and that's miles of wetlands, potholes, and swamps.

Mosquitos thrive here.

Yep JagMans got skeeters. Pestcides are considered fertilizer for them.

I hunted ML season for first time here in Kansas. Very different conditions! I think every chigger in the state found me! Will prep different next year! What do you use for chigger repellant?
Am in NE Ks, ready for 2 day pre rut hunt this weekend.
